At IDC (Innovate, Design, Create), Year 7/8 Manual and Technology Programme, our goal is to provide authentic and enriching opportunities for our tamariki. This dynamic programme encompasses a diverse array of disciplines, including woodwork, cooking, science, plant to plate, art, and product design. Through IDC, we aim to ignite creativity, foster critical thinking, and cultivate practical skills that are essential for the holistic development of our intermediate tamariki. IDC is done through an inquiry process, where students learn the skills and knowledge required first and then apply it through their own thinking and designs.
Our curriculum is designed allow students the opportunity for authentics learning expieriences, skill development, holistic growth, and community and cultural relevance. Through IDC, we strive to inspire our tamariki to innovate, design, and create with passion and purpose, equipping them with the skills and confidence to navigate and contribute positively to an ever-evolving world.
